Transgenic Production
Facility
The
Transgenic Production Facility (TPF) is an integral part of the
Wales Gene Park providing a resource to scientists who wish to create
novel transgenic and knockout strains of mice to advance their study
of genetics. In addition, the facility offers strain rederivation,
IVF and gamete cryopreservation services. Training for all of the
above services is also offered. The TPF provides a high quality
service to support both local scientists and those working further
afield. The TPF is staffed by highly experienced technicians.
The
TPF is housed within a state-of-the-art barried unit, and therefore
all services carried out result in mice of an SPF health status.
